Philip Massey

Philip started his career as a CPA, but soon developed an affinity for computer systems. He started working with Dynamics GP in 1997 and Intacct in 2011.

Philip is trained in all core areas of Intacct plus Project Accounting. He is also certified in Intacct sales and marketing.

Philip is certified in both sales and support for Microsoft Dynamics GP. For nearly 17 years, Philip has worked with all modules of Dynamics GP and many third party products.

Philip is certified on all aspects of both Scribe Insight and Scribe Online. Philip has integrated ERP systems with many other applications using Scribe. He led the team that developed the Intacct connector for Scribe Online.

Hi! I’m Philip and I founded Massey Consulting in 2003.

Philip D. Massey, CPA is the President and Founder of Massey Consulting. For nearly 20 years, he has spent time in the software side of the accounting industry working with applications like Intacct and Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly known as Great Plains).
Growing up, Philip was an avid UNC Tarheel fan, so attending both Barton College and UNC-Chapel Hill was a dream come true. Graduation day came with a degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance.

Peachtree was his first software implementation at a local communications service company. The experience was so pleasant, it started him on the path of his future career! During his employment, he also managed to do the near impossible – passing the CPA exam! To complete the CPA requirements, Philip took a position at a CPA firm in Garner, NC.

During his time at the CPA firm, Philip began supporting the clients that used MAS 90, increasing his desire to work solely in the accounting software industry. After a couple years at the CPA firm, Philip move to a company in Raleigh, NC that sold, implemented and supported Great Plains (now Microsoft Dynamics GP) in 1997.

Two job changes later, Philip found his previous employer out of business. As a result, he started his own company, Massey Consulting, that specialized in Microsoft Dynamics GP implementations. For many years, Massey focused exclusively on Dynamics GP, but in 2011, Philip felt the need to get an early start on the coming “Cloud” revolution.

After an exhaustive search through different cloud accounting vendors, Massey chose Intacct as their system of choice. Intacct gives Massey Consulting the pleasure and ability to move into the cloud revolution in the years to come. In 2014, Massey was named an Intacct Premier Partner and entered the Intacct Presidents Club.

Philip resides in Franklin County with his wife and daughter. He continues to be a big UNC Tarheel fan as well as cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. His biggest adoration by far, however, is Walt Disney World!

  • Implemented and/or managed 20+ Scribe integrations in industries such as Education, Software, Non-Profit, Distribution, Professional Services and more.
  • Led team that integrated a commercial office furniture design software package with Dynamics GP using Scribe. This integration has become a module for the design package and has been implemented at many locations across the United States and Canada.
